Sunflower stocks in Kazakhstan are 17% higher than last year


According to official statistics, oilseed stocks in Kazakhstan are lower than last year. As reported by APK-Inform, as of April 1 this year, the country held 1.62 million tonnes of oilseeds (compared to 1.84 million tonnes on the same date in 2024).

At the same time, sunflower seed stocks amount to 933 thousand tonnes, which is 17% higher than the same figure last year (795 thousand tonnes)

The soybean stocks have decreased to 44 thousand tonnes (as of April 1, 2024 – 62 thousand tonnes).

The availability of oilseed flax in Kazakhstan is 436 thousand tonnes (compared to 570 thousand tonnes).

The stocks of rapeseed have decreased to 136 thousand tonnes (compared to 202 thousand tonnes last year), while safflower stocks have fallen even more significantly, to 51 thousand tonnes (from 185 thousand tonnes in April 2024).
